The Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple

On July 29, our family went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was so beautiful inside and out! The children really enjoyed seeing all the different rooms that they hear about in church. Emily was most impressed by all the pictures of the Savior that she counted. We went through at a very busy time, so we were not able to stay in the rooms for very long. Still, I am so glad that we went and the children were able to see the inside of a temple. I am hoping that when they hear the primary song..."I love to see the Temple"....it will bring back memories of this day.

After our tour, we walked the grounds around the temple and took some pictures. The wind was blowing pretty hard. It kept us cool, but made picture taking tricky. Still, I think we got some good shots.

I loved taking pictures of the kids outside the temple...next to Trevor is his good friend, Adam. It was fun having Adam join our family for the open house. Thanks for being a good sport with the girls, Adam! Of course you can't end a great day without eating out. Wendy's.....Yummy!!!

Hobbs Family Campout 2009

The week of the 24th of July, we went camping up Logan Canyon with the entire family! It was so much fun! We haven't had our Hobbs Family Campout for about 3 years, so we were very excited! Here is our tent, our screen house (that is a story all of its own...haha), Emily with her good buddy and cousin, Andrew, and both of my girls with sweet baby Trinity.

Grandpa and Grandma Hobbs brought frisbee horseshoes for the smaller children to play with. It was a huge hit! All the kids caught on really fast, and were throwing almost perfect by the end of the week. Ringer Kylie!

Playing horseshoes and relaxing in the hammock was something that everyone enjoyed doing....especially when it was shady!

The kids all loved roasting marshmellows and making smores. Definately a highlight of camp! (Sorry for the blurry pictures.)

Breaking camp is always sad...but we were ready when we realized just how busy the 24th of July weekend was going to be. We left at the right time. By the way, that is Doug and Bonnie's green tent. Ours is not that new! Thanks for all the fun everybody!
