Jeff and Debbie's in Wyoming

Over Labor Day weekend our family traveled to Alta, Wyoming to spend time with Jason's brother and his family. I love it at their house... it is a very relaxing and beautiful area.
Here is Carson, he is the splitting image of his daddy! He loved telling us all about his birthday he had in June. Such a cutie!

Emily helping Debbie make muffins for breakfast. Yummy!

Abby and Emily...these two were a crack-up! They got along so well and had so much fun together. Abby liked dressing Emily up in her clothes and of course Emily loved it too!

Cute Cousins!

Jeff and Deb took us to the drive-in called "The Spud". We haven't been to a drive-in for a long time, so we were excited to go. Everyone had a great time, and it wasn't really that cold until towards the end of the movie. Kylie and Alexa took advantage of our third bench that Jason took out of the truck.

Emily and Abby had more fun playing puppies in the back of Jeff's truck, than watching the movie!

Trevor and Austin were way too comfy and almost fell asleep!

The kids discovered a black hornets nest that was built in an old trough by the horse's correl. I have never seen a nest so big this close up before. It was a relief when Jeff and Jason sprayed it.
Kylie loved the rides that Alexa gave her on the 4 wheeler. I am so glad that these two have so much in common, and get along so well! Cute cousins!

I thought this was a genius idea! This way everyone can get a ride and have fun! Alexa would pull this wagon behind the 4 wheeler and give the little ones rides.

Emily really thought she was a cowgirl during our stay in Wyoming.

Jeff and Debbie took us to a catch and release pond where we could all have a try at fishing. Only Jason and Trevor had ever really been fishing, so for the rest of my family it was a new experience. Boy did we have a blast! Emily, Abby, and Carson had so much fun taking turns casting, reeling, and holding the fishing pole.
Alexa and Kylie had fun hanging out together and fishing. I can't believe how much Kylie really enjoyed fishing! She could have stayed there for an entire day!

It didn't take long for Austin to catch on to fishing, thanks to Jeff for all the pointers he gave him.

Hey can you believe that I caught the first fish! I was very excited, but I was not going to touch the fish to release it! Jason had to do that! FYI...that was my first time ever fishing (real fishing that is)!

You may not believe this...but Jason caught the exact same fish that I did! After we released mine back into the water, Jason got a bite and reeled in the same fish! We know it was the same, because of how I caught it on my hook....the hook had left its mark in the cheek (I think fish have cheeks). Crazy! It was so much fun though!

My kids could not get enough of Jeff's horses! Everyday Kylie was trying to feed the horses grass out of her hands.
Okay...I thought the horses were cool too!

The part of Wyoming where Jeff and Deb live is absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to go back. Thanks Jeff and Deb for showing us such a great time!

First Day of School

Of course I have to include our first day of school pictures.....especially since it is Emily's first year.
How cute are these three! Trevor was already gone to school, and even if he was home there is no way he would have been happy with me taking his picture!

Congratulations Austin and B.E. United Soccer Club!

In August, Austin and his soccer team took first place at the Layton Strikers Cup Tournament!
His medal was actually really heavy and cool looking.

Way to go Austin!

Puppies!

Our neighbors had some puppies over one day....and the girls could not get enough!

For the rest of the day, all I heard was..... "Please can we get one?".....

As much as I thought they were cute....all I kept thinking was all the work and mess that comes when something so cute and small gets soooo big! I was relieved when the puppies went home.

Hey Everyone!

Just a note to let you all know I am still alive! My printer is down right now, but as soon as it is up and running again I will be adding more pictures to my blog. I have some really cute pics of our trip to Jackson, Wy to visit Jeff and Deb...so keep an eye out for them! Thanks Jeff and Deb for a fun time!

My kids are all really busy right now with school starting up, and all of their activities outside of school. Trevor is on the high school golf team and has qualifyed for all of their JV tournaments. Just yesterday he played for varsity for the first time! Congrats to Trevor! Austin is busy with his soccer team, and they are playing better than ever this season. Kylie is taking a break from dance and is just enjoying third grade for right now. Emily is dancing this year and has also started kindergarten this year. I can't believe my baby is in school! She always wants to walk all by herself to school everyday, but of course I will not let her. So we have comprimised.....we walk together to the crosswalk, and then I stay on the sidewalk and she walks alone across the road and into the school. I can hardly believe how fast time has flown by..... I am almost an empty nester now! At least during the day.
