Emily was so excited to finally have some snow that she begged to go outside and build a snowman. The only problem was that there wasn't enough snow to roll a good snowman. So I talked her into making a snow turtle. At first she wasn't too thrilled, but once we got started she warmed up to the idea.
Hopefully you can tell that it is a turtle.
Emily wanted to give the turtle a happy face, so this is her final touch. So cute!
It just isn't fall without a big pile of leaves to jump in!
This is the pile of leaves I raked up in the front yard, and the girls could not wait to jump in it!
Poor Emmy! She was so brave to climb high in the neighbor's tree....unfortunately not so brave trying to come down! She got stuck and our good friend and neighbor had to pull her down from the tree.
We decided to do Frightmares this year and avoid the heat of summer. Little did we know that the weather would change the day we went! It was a little cold...but worth it!
Some cute pictures of the girls!
Some fun pictures of Kylie and Emily riding the rides together.
Jason went on some rides with the kids. Sorry the pictures are a little far away.
Jason waiting in line with Austin and his friend Taylor. The Wicked was everyone's favorite!
Jason and Emily on the Tidal Wave....yes she actually rode it....and loved it!
Jason and Kylie on the newest ride.....The Jumping Dragon. Way fun!
Trevor and his friend Adam on the dinosaur drop.
Kylie was not scared of the Chainsaw Guys this year. They like to sneak up behind you and turn on the chainsaw and scare and chase you. Kylie wanted to have her picture taken with one of them, and I was so amazed that she actually did!
We watched the Monster Classics show and had our picture taken with of few of the monsters. We loved Frightmares at Lagoon this year!
Over Labor Day weekend our family traveled to Alta, Wyoming to spend time with Jason's brother and his family. I love it at their house... it is a very relaxing and beautiful area.
Here is Carson, he is the splitting image of his daddy! He loved telling us all about his birthday he had in June. Such a cutie!
Jeff and Deb took us to the drive-in called "The Spud". We haven't been to a drive-in for a long time, so we were excited to go. Everyone had a great time, and it wasn't really that cold until towards the end of the movie.
Kylie and Alexa took advantage of our third bench that Jason took out of the truck.
Emily and Abby had more fun playing puppies in the back of Jeff's truck, than watching the movie!
Trevor and Austin were way too comfy and almost fell asleep!
The kids discovered a black hornets nest that was built in an old trough by the horse's correl. I have never seen a nest so big this close up before. It was a relief when Jeff and Jason sprayed it.
Kylie loved the rides that Alexa gave her on the 4 wheeler. I am so glad that these two have so much in common, and get along so well! Cute cousins!
Jeff and Debbie took us to a catch and release pond where we could all have a try at fishing. Only Jason and Trevor had ever really been fishing, so for the rest of my family it was a new experience. Boy did we have a blast!
Emily, Abby, and Carson had so much fun taking turns casting, reeling, and holding the fishing pole.
Alexa and Kylie had fun hanging out together and fishing. I can't believe how much Kylie really enjoyed fishing! She could have stayed there for an entire day!
My kids could not get enough of Jeff's horses! Everyday Kylie was trying to feed the horses grass out of her hands.
Okay...I thought the horses were cool too!
The part of Wyoming where Jeff and Deb live is absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to go back. Thanks Jeff and Deb for showing us such a great time!
