Family, dutchovening, and Austin's Birthday! Whew!

April has started off with a fun bang at the Daugherty household! The girls played their first soccer game (they missed the "real" first game since we were at my niece's baptism that weekend), my sistas from Az came and spent the entire week, and my "little" Austin turned 14! Wow, still can't believe how fast time flys! I had to post this cute letter that Emily wrote for her cousin who was baptized. Emily gets baptized this year, and reading this shows just how she is feeling about it! Sorry Katey that she forgot to bring it to you!
I love how we have days where my two little sweeties can get along so well, and have fun in the process! Right after their soccer games, they pulled out the board games and played for the longest time!
Zeus fell in love with Minda and Lez all over again! Lez had him going crazy the whole week they visited, and he loved snuggling with Minda! I can't wait to take him to Az this summer and let him run with their two pups!
Poor Zeus!!! He is missing the girls already! They wore him out, and he loved every minute of it!!! Actually...we all miss the girls :(
Nothing like kicking spring off with some dutch oven cooking!!! Jason has become an excellent dutch oven chef!! Yummy chicken, which by the way, he throws in whatever he wants and it always comes out perfect and yummy!!
Not to mention how creative he is! We dont have a third burner, so he made himself an oven to cook the cake over. I'm telling ya, I married a genius!
Can't have dutch oven without some spuds!! Grew up with dutch oven potatos, and loving em still!!! So good with the sweet onion Jason added!!! Just don't forget the cheese :)
Thank you, thank you, Jason for a scrumptuous dutch oven dinner!!!
So my little Austin is no longer so little! He is now a bit taller than me and has changed so much over the last year. He has put soccer on the back burner and is turning his athletic ability toward football. He is on the freshman football team next year, and I am so excited to see how far this new adventure will take him! I know, so you are wondering whats up with the basketball then....well he loves ALL sports :)
Austin was happy to have his birthday while my sisters were here. So since his big day fell on conference weekend, we invited both sets of grandparents and my sisters down to celebrate and watch conference. It was a great day! After conference and the birthday celebration were over, all the men went to the Priesthood session at our stk center together. A perfect end to a perfect day!!!
Austin showing off a portion of his birthday goods. Love the fangs!!!
Happy 14th birthday Austin!!! We love you so much and are so happy to have you in our family :)

Wow, can we come to your house for dinner while we are there. Looks like Jason has got that down. Too bad we can't go camping for a week and he could be the cheif.
Happy Birthday Austin!
