This year we took 2 weeks and headed south to the warmth of AZ and San Diego, CA. We had so much fun taking Lez and Minda with us to the San Diego Zoo! I know there should be more pics of the animals, and there will be as soon as I download the awesome pics that Lez took with her camera.
Minda and my two girlies taking a break with me. There was alot of walking involved with this gigantic zoo!
Photogenic Kylie posing on her favorite animal of the day....the hippo! No idea why?!
Jason's fave of the day...the lazy orangatang (sp). He loved his laid back way of life! Hillarious!
One of the shows the zoo offers. The kids liked watching the animals perform, and I liked giving my feet a break!
Why oh why does every attempt at a family photo turn out with someone closing their eyes!? Ya that would be me!!!
The giraffes were awesome, as was every animal. They had a little baby giraffe this year. Way cute! Smile girlies and act like you are having fun! LOL!
Doctor Zoolittle was another show we went to. Emily liked the doc...just a bit!
Kylie liked my hat!!! The zoo was amazing and I will be putting animal pics up soon!!!
We went to the AZ Diamondbacks game in Phoenix. They played the Dodgers....and won!!! Lez and Minda came with us and we had a blast!!! Thank goodness the ballpark is covered and air conditioned! Although Trevor wouldn't have cared if it was over 100 degrees inside, the D-Backs are his favorite team!! Go D-Backs!!!
Emmy and Trev having their pic taken by the World Series trophy the D-Backs won in 2001. Oh ya baby!
The D-Backs hosted the Allstar game this year, so there were fun statues to pose with and take pictures. Kids loved it!
We also went to the beach in San Diego. The girlies have never seen the ocean, so they loved every second we were there! They jumped waves, picked up shells, and played in the sand. Bear Lake will never be the same to them anymore! :)
Love, love, love the sand!!!
My two beautiful beach babes! Love how Emmy has her leg! :)
No vacation to AZ would ever be complete if we didn't take a dip in the awesome pool at my sisters'! This is Austin showing off his handstand!
Emmy and Minda. See I told you they could be twins! :)
Strike that pose Emmy!
I love my girlies!!!
All the kids loved jumping into the water and having me take pics. Hillarious!!!
Kylie...
April has started off with a fun bang at the Daugherty household! The girls played their first soccer game (they missed the "real" first game since we were at my niece's baptism that weekend), my sistas from Az came and spent the entire week, and my "little" Austin turned 14! Wow, still can't believe how fast time flys!
I had to post this cute letter that Emily wrote for her cousin who was baptized. Emily gets baptized this year, and reading this shows just how she is feeling about it! Sorry Katey that she forgot to bring it to you!
I love how we have days where my two little sweeties can get along so well, and have fun in the process! Right after their soccer games, they pulled out the board games and played for the longest time!
Zeus fell in love with Minda and Lez all over again! Lez had him going crazy the whole week they visited, and he loved snuggling with Minda! I can't wait to take him to Az this summer and let him run with their two pups!
Poor Zeus!!! He is missing the girls already! They wore him out, and he loved every minute of it!!! Actually...we all miss the girls :(
Nothing like kicking spring off with some dutch oven cooking!!! Jason has become an excellent dutch oven chef!! Yummy chicken, which by the way, he throws in whatever he wants and it always comes out perfect and yummy!!
Not to mention how creative he is! We dont have a third burner, so he made himself an oven to cook the cake over. I'm telling ya, I married a genius!
Can't have dutch oven without some spuds!! Grew up with dutch oven potatos, and loving em still!!! So good with the sweet onion Jason added!!! Just don't forget the cheese :)
Thank you, thank you, Jason for a scrumptuous dutch oven dinner!!!
So my little Austin is no longer so little! He is now a bit taller than me and has changed so much over the last year. He has put soccer on the back burner and is turning his athletic ability toward football. He is on the freshman football team next year, and I am so excited to see how far this new adventure will take him! I know, so you are wondering whats up with the basketball then....well he loves ALL sports :)
